I really enjoy using film for my portraits. Its not always appropriate to use a film camera, but I often try to use one of collection of old vintage cameras when shooting portraits. Using an old camera tends to slow down the tempo of the session, allowing for a more sensitive and delicate approach. On this occasion I used a Mamiya RB67 medium format film camera and Ilford Ortho Plus film.

Brooke
Brooke

Probably one of the most talented Graphic Designers I have ever met. Brooke works primarily in illustration, but also has a keen interest in film photography, so using my old Mamiya seemed apprpriate.

Simple lighting, unassuming wardrobe, and just enough tension in the expression equals an amazing headshot.
