On occasion I will go back over the previous few weeks jobs and review the images….. mostly because I want to make sure I am keeping my images fresh and interesting and also because I want to make sure that I am not getting lazy and shooting all the easy stuff just because I know it will sell…. Lets face it, we all get into a rut sometimes, but getting into a rut can be bad for business as its easily spotted by customers who want to always know they are going to be treated special and get the images they really want for themselves…
I especially think this is true for new Mums… or in this case a Mum to be…. Mums always want to think that their baby is that little bit more special than any other baby and some Mums to be feel exactly the same about being pregnant…. they love being pregnant and totally enjoy the entire experience, in fact they enjoy it so much they want to remember it forever and ask people like me to help them by photographing the beautiful bump before its all gone and forgotten…

Photographing Jennifer was such a lovely experience. She absolutely adores being pregnant and was totally bowled over by the images I made for her….. which to be honest was really easy. Jennifer was so confident and happy to be in front of the camera, and so proud of her beautiful bump, that my job as photographer was made a real pleasure.
Photographed against a white background, the amount of space available in my studio allowed me to only light Jennifer without any light falling onto the backdrop. Jennifer was dressed, but the lighting allowed me to imply that she was nude, both saving her blushes and creating a stunning, and rather dramatic maternity photograph at the same time.
